Don Darius' Continued Success!

On September 3rd Don Darius became the Reserve Champion 4 Year Old Riding Stallion at the 2011 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf Germany! Congratulations to the Fuchs Family and Don Darius' rider Mike Haberman from the State Stud at Celle.

The 2011 AHS Mare & Foal Inspection Tour Results are in!

 

Hanoverians were well represented at the 2011 Summer AHS Mare & Foal Inspection Tour held at Hilton Farm on August 15, 2011.  This year’s event  had a larger number of entries with five  for the Mare Performance Test, nine Hanoverian Mares for Inspection, followed by twelve foals.   Three mares were presented for the non-Hanoverian portion of the program.  Overall we had a lovely day with good weather, good food and an exciting roster of participants from all over Virginia.

 Listed below are the highlights and winner’s of the day’s events:

 

High Score Mare Performance Test:

"Risque" (by ES Rienzi out of EM Kachina) owned by Marefield Meadows.

 

High Score Non-Hanoverian Mare for Inspection:

"Fila" (by Fidermark out of SPS Bonita) owned by Linda Sommers.

 

High Score Hanoverian for Inspection:

"Fontyne" (by ES Fred Astair out of SPS Malena) owned by Kate Palmquist.

Liberty Gold's Offspring Lead the Way!

Isabel deSzinay, owner & breeder of her Oldenburg mare Fein Dancer by Feinbrand-Donnica/Donavan was accepted into the AHS Main Studbook with a score of 7.0.  Fein Dancer's daughter, Luna Popp by Liberty Gold was also presented and was the Champion non-Hanoverian Mare with a score of 7.33.  She received 8s for head, foreleg, typiness, femininity, and correctness of gaits. 

Tina Longaker's 2010 Liberty Gold colt out of Fein Dancer/Feinbrand was one of eight foals presented for inspection and her colt was the champion of the day.

Lexus (Liberty Gold/Armin) a 4-year old Filly who was high score mare last year at her inspection at Hilltop Farm.  Her inspection score was 7.5.  Lexus completed her MPT this year and again was awarded High Score mare and is now an Elite Mare Candidate!  She received excellent scores with a 7.25 for jumping and a 7.5 for rideability!  Lexus is owned by Andrew & Gina Leslie of Sandpiperfarm.

Meredith May and her four-year old mare, Liberty Belle M (Liberty Gold-EM Antigone/Aarking xx) took home great scores at Pepperwood Farm with an overall score of 7.33 highlighted by 8s for her correctness and walk.  Liberty Belle M also earned the new title of Elite Mare Candiate with a score of 7.22.

Liberti by Liberty Gold-EM Conteah/Contucci bred and owned by Christine Jennings received a score of 7.16 to become an elite mare candidate at the Hilltop inspection.

Liberty Gold/Joyous Road xx filly took Champion filly at the Oldenburg NA foal inspection at Woodridge Farm, OK.  She scored 8.1 for conformation and overall impression and 8.2 for her movement.  She is owned by Sarah Field.

At Emerald Spring Equestrian Center in SC, Lucia ESE (Liberty Gold-Destination/Donnerschall) owned by Laura Trumbower and Legacy Gold ESE (Liberty Gold-Daybreak/Dederick) owned by Sherry-Anne Smith each received second place scores of 7.16.  Both mares are Elite Eligible.

 Sommer Solstice (Sunlight xx-SPS Dina/Daidalos) received champion Hannoverian Mare with a 9 for her walk and 8s for impulsion & elasticity, and a final score of 7.66.   Owner Terri Impson is currently eventing Summer Solstice at Novice Level.  Summer Solstice was bred in Germany by Mr. Fuchs.

Lucette, a fine-looking chestnut, four-year-old Liberty Gold mare out of EM Aluette is currently the highest scoring mare in the USA following 13 AHS inspections.  Bred & owned by JoAnn & Dale Thomas of Wedderburn, OR, Lucette is leading the way with an overall score of 8.16.  She earned all 8(s) except a 9 for walk and front legs and a 7 for the head.  In addition to being inspected, she also completed the MPT with an overall score of 7.72.  The judges awarded Lucette a 9 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 8 for rideability, 7 for jumping.
