Portofino produced two approved and licensed sons in Germany and numerous States Premium and Main Studbrook mares. After being imported to the US, Portofino continued to produce winners. His offspring won “Get of Sire” classes at recognized breed shows. His offspring also won classes in dressage shows on both US coasts.

Portofino achieved extremely high scores and was the Reserve Champion upon completion of his Performance Test in Wardendorf in 1986. In 1994, Portofino was recognized as one of the top 5 producing sporthorse stallions in Germany for his age group. His offspring reflected the quality of their sire-- he produced 2 approved sons, numerous States Premium mares, and many successful competition offspring in the disciplines of dressage and show jumping.

Portofino was an action trotter in Germany and was presented annually at the Warendorf Stallion Parade. He had impeccable bloodlines, only his stem from both Westphalian and Hanoverian lineage. His sire Paradox I was honored with a life size bronze statue in the center of the Westphalian State Stud in Warendorf.
