Portofino by Paradox I out of SPS Minouche, 1983, 16.1 H, Westfalen
Reserve champion of his 100 day test in Warendorf, Germany, Portofino stood for many years at the prestigious Westphalian National Stud in Muenster, Germany. Portofino has produced two approved and licensed sons in Germany and numerous States Premium and Main Studbrook mares. Based on the show records of his offspring, Portofino still ranks among the top German sporthorse producers of his age group.
Since being imported to the US, Portofino has continued to produce winners. His babies won the “get of sire” class at a recognized breed show, and he has sons winning in dressage shows on both US coasts.
Portofino achieved extremely high scores and the reserve championship upon completion of his performance test in Wardendorf in 1986. In 1994 Portofino was recognized as one of the top 5 producing sporthorse stallions in Germany for his age group. His offspring reflect the quality of their sire-- he has produced 2 approved sons, States Premium mares and many successful competition offspring in the disciplines of dressage and show jumping.
Portofino was an action trotter in Germany and was presented annually at the Warendorf Stallion Parade. He, like our other stallions has impeccable bloodlines, only his stem from both Westphalian and Hanoverian lineage. His sire Paradox I has been honored with a life size bronze in the center of the Westphalian State Stud in Warendorf.
